Here’s my start-the-month leader’s checklist. You’ll see it isn’t very complicated:1. What did I achieve, strategically, last month?
2. Where did I fail, strategically, last month?
3. What must* I achieve, strategically, this month?
* In addition to listing what I must achieve strategically in the next month, I also find it useful to list out what would be good to achieve, and what would be nice to achieve. Those two lists (‘good’ and ‘nice’) then become an inventory of what to avoid doing – they’re the enemy of ‘must’.
