Getting to Predictable Success® – and staying there – means knowing exactly what your success metrics are, and reviewing them regularly and consistently.
I’m amazed how often I meet executives who don’t ‘own their own dashboard’.
There is no option – you must identify the 5 to 10 top metrics that measure success in your area of responsibility, and take ownership of those metrics.
All the better if you can graphically represent those metrics in an intuitive, easy-to-scan graphical format. If you’re even an intermediate at spreadsheets, take a look at something like Xcelsius and either construct your own dashboard, or have someone do it for you.
