Introduction to Module 3

Let's finish by looking at some further resources that'll help you go a little deeper, both in understanding and using your own natural Leadership Style, and also how to get your team to interact with you optimally for best results for both them and you and the team as a whole. I'm going to show you five specific resources. First of all, I want to just help you navigate my website. It's quite busy, there's a lot there, and I want to point you to where you'll get the most usable information quickest.

I'm going to do the same with my books. There are four books in the Predictable Success series and I just want to show you where you'll get the information from those books that is most useful to you. We'll do both of those together. We'll look at the website and my books in the next section. Then I want to talk very specifically about a resource that will help your team understand better how to work with you and to optimize your natural Style for their benefit, for your benefit, for the benefit of the team as a whole.

And then I'm going to turn the telescope around, so to speak, and show you a resource that will help you work much, much better with your nemesis Style, which we talked about in an earlier section. Then finally, I want to provide you with a really, really powerful way to turbocharge your whole team's success in both their interactions, communications, and execution. What we'll see is that three of these resources that I'll point to are valid, no matter which of the four Styles is your Style, but two of them are directed specifically to your Leadership Style.

The Predictable Success website

So let's get started. The first resource available to you is of course, the Predictable Success website itself, and it's at PredictableSuccess.com. At first glance, it's a very busy website. There's a lot going on there, but all of the actionable material is in the resources section. At the time of recording this, that's up at the top right of the main menu.

May have moved around a bit by the time you've arrived here, but it'll always be very prominently in our main menu. There you'll find links to the Leadership Styles quiz, which you've almost certainly already taken. It's probably what led you here in the first place, but now you have the link to it so that you can send your colleagues there.

I'll talk a little bit more about why you might want to do that in one of our future lessons in this module. My weekly blog, which probably about two thirds of the time is about Leadership Styles. Whatever your natural Style is, I talk about it a lot in the blog and how to implement it, and some tips and techniques.

My monthly podcast, same thing. There are a lot of interviews there with people who have utilized the Predictable Success Leadership Styles in their own leadership life and our learning center where all of our courses are. I'll have a little bit more about that again in one of the little lessons in this section, and finally a link to our books, which I'm going to talk all about right in the next lesson.

The Predictable Success Library

Hi, welcome to the Predictable Success Virtual Library. My name's Les McKeown. I'm the founder and CEO of Predictable Success, and the author of the four books in the Predictable Success book series.

Now, you'll find much more information about each of the four titles using the links below, but I thought I'd just pop along here and give you a very brief introduction to each of the four books in the series so that you can decide which of them are most appropriate to your needs right now. So four books, they split into two sets of two complementary books, so two pairs that deal, each of them with two different aspects of the overall Predictable Success model. The first of our pairs is, first of all, Predictable Success itself, the first foundational book in the series, and it talks about the seven stages of growth that every organization goes through.

So if you're responsible for any aspect of growth in your organization, then you're going to want to take a look at that. The second book that pairs with it is Do Scale, part of the DO series of books, hence the title, and Do Scale really drills down into one of those seven stages, the stage that I call Predictable Success. It talks about how to move your organization from growth to truly scaling. So if you want to accelerate into scaling your organization, then Do Scale is the book that you want to take a much deeper look at.

The other complementary pair talks about what's happening behind the scenes in terms of the leadership of organizations. The first of the books in our second pair is The Synergist: Leading Your Team to Predictable Success, and The Synergist really details the four Leadership Styles that are inherent in every leadership team and how the mix of those Styles impacts the growth of an organization and your own ability to be the leader you truly want to be. So if you're interested in more about the Visionary, Operator, Processor, or Synergist Leadership Styles, you want to start with The Synergist.

And the second book in this complementary pair is Do Lead. I wrote Do Lead. Really, you can see it's actually more of a handbook. It's of a size that you can put it in an inside pocket. And I wrote Do Lead for anybody in your organization irrespective of whether or not they've got a formal leadership role.

It talks about how leadership is something that anybody can engage in under the right circumstances. So if you're interested in spreading a culture of leadership throughout your organization or learning how you can lead from where you are, then that's the book for you. Hope this has been helpful. Decide which of the four books is the one that you want to get started with in more detail, or just click all of the links below and browse to your heart's content.

Help your team to help you

Our next resource is all about helping your team help you. Now, I'm sure you'll agree as you've worked through this course, you've had many aha moments and found out a lot more about yourself and how you lead. But what if you could have your colleagues, your team members, the people you report to, who report to you, understand even more deeply how best to interact with you to make their leadership better and yours and for the team as a whole, as a result, to execute better.

Well, we've got that exact resource for you, and it's a course where your colleagues can find out even more about what makes you tick. Now, you'll already be familiar with the content of the first third or so of the course, because we're going to share with them a large part of what you've already learned. How you tick, how you show up, what it's like to bring your strengths and the challenges that you face given your specific Leadership Style.

But what we then build on is to specifically lead them through how to apply that understanding in their relationship with you, whether they report to you, whether you report to them, whether they're peers and colleagues, you're on the same team, you occasionally interact. We'll show them how to best optimize their interaction with your Leadership Style. And we go even deeper than that. In the second part of the course, we'll show them how to optimize the interaction of their specific Style, whether they're a Visionary, an Operator, a Processor, or a Synergist.

We'll show them how to best interact with you so that both you and they can be the best form of leader that you can be. So if you want to find out more about how you can have your colleagues access this great resource, just use the links below.

From nemeses to trusted colleagues

We've seen in earlier material in the course how every Style, all four Styles have a nemesis Style. That's another Style that they most easily clash with, that they share the least in worldview. In your case, that's highly likely to be the Processor, and we've put our next resource together specifically to help you address that.

How do you work with or for a Processor? You'll be familiar having gone through this course with the structure, but the content is directed totally to how you can turn your relationship with your nemesis Style into that of a trusted colleague. We'll show you how Processors show up. What strengths do they bring, what are the challenges that they have? How do they work?

How is it different to you? And we've got sections to help you access the best tools, tips, and techniques, depending on whether this is someone that you report to, someone that reports to you, or someone who's a peer or a colleague, and then in the second half of the course, we're going to show you something that's probably been in the back of your mind, an irritation, but you haven't been able to put your finger on why. And that's the fact that many of the people that you see interacting with your nemesis Style actually have a different type of relationship.

They don't have the same sort of conflict that you do. By helping you understand how your nemesis Style works with each of the four Styles, you'll be able to understand better why that seems different. Why is this important? Because it takes away what's highly likely to feel to you as an interpersonal conflict, and instead helps you see it through the lens of being a clash of Styles.

What you see as a better relationship with someone else is most highly likely to be a difference in the way the Styles interact. So if you want to know how to turn your nemesis into a trusted colleague, then you can look at more details using the link below.

Give your team superpowers

For the last of our additional resources, let me show you how to give your team superpowers. Now, if you're here, you've almost certainly got your own results from the Predictable Success Leadership Styles quiz.

And maybe you've got your team to take the quiz as well. And perhaps you've gone so far as to list those scores from your team's results out on a spreadsheet. Maybe you've counted on that. It would be a great idea to work out your team's profile is, what's the team average? How does the team show up every day?

What's their Styles profile? Maybe you even went so far as to use some fancy coloring to distinguish between trace scores, secondary scores, primary scores, dominant scores in order to identify some Styles-based conflicts, people on your team who may think they've got an interpersonal issue, but who in fact have just got a clash of Styles. Maybe you also were able to identify underrepresented or perhaps even overrepresented Styles on your team.

Well, what if I told you that you could have exactly that: your team's results real time on a Google sheet analyzed just as I've described, and updated instantly every time any member of your team takes the Styles quiz. And not only that. Irrespective of the size of your team, and for any team, not just your leadership group, but your marketing team, your HR team, your sales team, or for a project that you're just launching, you want to see whether you've got a good balanced team looking after it.

Whether you're in for-profit, not-for-profit, faith, or cause-based organization, then you can have exactly this and not just this. Here's where your team really starts to get its superpowers. You'll not just get access to your real-time updated Google Sheet, you'll get a 30 plus page detailed actionable custom report all about your team written by me, which analyzes your team through seven different lenses.

And for each of those lenses, we'll show you whether or not it's green: means you've got it nailed. It's fine. And we'll explain why, whether it's yellow: sort of flashing a little bit, something you've got to keep an eye on.

And again, we clearly indicate why that might be, or whether it's red. It's something that you need to take action on right away. And we don't just give you boilerplate text. We give you specific detail as to why this is, and then we give you very clear strategic recommendations for each of the yellow or red lenses that we have indicated.

Now, again, each of these are customized for your team and we'll give you not just what the strategy is, but why it applies to your team and how to best implement it. And of course, we provide in every report the least anyone needs to know in order to understand the Predictable Success Leadership Styles model so that you can distribute it to anyone in your team irrespective of whether they know the Visionary, Operator, Processor, Synergist model or not. So what are you waiting for? If you genuinely want to give your team superpowers, then get your Custom Styles report today. Get your Google real-time sheet.

Get your 30 page report written by me, Les McKeown, founder and CEO of Predictable Success, and we've got a link with a special deal for you right here on this page.
